ANU Community has been created by SystemSeed and was designed in partnership with Krengeltech. It is based on the powerful ANU learning management system (LMS) that is currently in use by organisations such as the World Health Organisation.
ANU Community is built in Drupal and has an open-source distribution which SystemSeed has made available to the Drupal community.
Since 2009, SystemSeed has been using technology to help high impact organisations achieve big ambitions.
As a team, we’re about technical excellence and working with clients whose values we admire.

Our response to COVID-19
SystemSeed is a fully distributed agency, and our team members work from their preferred locations around the world. For most of us that means a home office so we are able to continue operating with no added risk to our team. We have business continuity procedures in place and are making sure that all of our people are taking the best possible care of themselves at this difficult time.
Because we're able to operate as usual, we can also continue to support our clients as usual, as well as doing our bit to help others who may be struggling as a result of the economic shut-down many industries are experiencing. That's what making ANU Community free is all about.
If you're an individual who can change what you do to teaching knowledge or skills online, then we want to help you. You can sign up for free and use ANU Community to carry on working and earning an income.
If you're a teacher or a school which doesn't currently have online learning facilities, we want to help you too. Please use ANU Community to keep your students learning from home.
As well as our work with ANU Community, we're also supporting other organisations who are fighting COVID-19 where we can. That includes Folding At Home - a programme from Stanford University that uses the computing power of your home computer to help find a vaccine for this virus. We encourage you to take a look at their website and take part if you possibly can. In addition to adding SystemSeed computers to the Folding At Home initiative, we're also donating some of our hosting capacity to them and encouraging other organisations to support them as well.
If you have any questions about our approach or would like to get involved, please contact [email protected].
What is ANU?
Anu is a deceptively simple learning management system (LMS) for individual teachers, educational organisations and businesses built on Drupal. It’s been developed to provide engaging and impactful learning for real people, with a UX based on extensive research.
Why is ANU free?
Many people are affected by the COVID-19 crisis, including schools, independent teachers, trainers, and students. To help, we’re making ANU free for 6 months so you can keep teaching - and getting paid. If you can, please donate to our hosting costs to help us help more teachers.
